Digital Platform for Teachers & Educational Vacancies
Task
Digitize processes for teachers and schools in Kyrgyzstan by creating a unified portal for job searches, competition entry, Ministry of Education updates, and digital portfolios to replace paper workflows.
Approach
To simplify job searches, competition entry, and portfolio management, I consolidated core features into a unified dashboard featuring key statistics, news, and document templates. The interface uses a clean, high-contrast visual design to ensure effortless navigation for users of all tech literacy levels.
Main page:
Centralized dashboard featuring news updates, active vacancies, contest applications, profile completeness progress, and downloadable document resources.
Problems
Teachers struggle to keep track of fragmented content across news, job listings, and competition announcements.
Design Solutions
01
Organized the workspace into three functional sections—profile overview, main activity feed, and actionable widgets—eliminating visual clutter and simplifying daily navigation.
02
Positioned search and filter controls above the main feed, allowing users to find relevant content quickly without endless scrolling.
03
Assigned unique icons and color palettes to each content type (portfolio, medals, logos), ensuring clear visual differentiation between cards.
Teacher's profile
A digital teacher card centralizing their complete professional background: experience, education, skills, and honors.
Problems
Profiles become overly lengthy, making it difficult for recruiters and review boards to find key information quickly.
Design Solutions
01
Added a left-side anchor navigation menu to jump directly to specific sections with a single click, bypassing long scroll.
02
Featured core skills as compact tags for rapid competency scanning.
03
Organized information into distinct white cards with icons to reduce visual clutter.
Vacancies
List of open job positions across educational institutions.
Problems
Teachers struggle to locate relevant positions quickly amidst hundreds of nationwide vacancies.
Design Solutions
01
Added a detailed sidebar filter (by region, district, and subject) to filter out irrelevant listings in a couple of clicks.
02
Highlighted the primary 'Apply' CTA and key tags (city, subject, post date) directly on the job card, enabling quick decision-making without opening full details.
03
Positioned a search bar directly above the directory for instant keyword matching.
Competitions
A catalog of open competitions for school leadership positions, including principals and lyceum directors.
Problems
State competitions have strict application deadlines that are easy for candidates to miss.
Design Solutions
01
Surfaced application start and deadline dates on contest cards to address time-sensitive submission risks.
02
Used a gold/yellow color palette and a trophy icon to ensure the competitions section instantly stands out from standard job listings
03
Introduced context-specific CTAs ('Ranked List' / 'Apply') to emphasize the competitive nature of the selection process.
Job Details Page
Detailed overview of employment terms, eligibility criteria, and school background.
Problems
Key parameters (salary, experience) and the application CTA get lost within dense description text.
Design Solutions
01
Positioned salary, required experience, and the primary 'Apply' CTA in a sticky right sidebar that remains constantly visible during scroll.
02
Structured the job description into concise bulleted lists (Responsibilities, Requirements, Conditions) for effortless scannability.
03
Added a dedicated school card featuring ratings and reviews to help teachers evaluate prospective employers quickly.
Official Verification Service
A dedicated service page displaying official background check results (criminal record clearances, government registry statuses) and a request history log.
Problems
Complex legal phrasing and dense tables make it difficult to quickly determine the final verification status.
Design Solutions
01
Displayed a prominent green status banner at the top ('Clear — No Violations Found') so the overall result can be scanned in one second.
02
Applied clear color-coded status indicators in the table (green / gray / orange) for rapid issue detection.
03
Separated active verification results from historical requests into distinct modules to minimize visual clutter.
Key Results
A unified ecosystem designed around the teacher's needs.
